The Medical Team >
Automatic Uploading of Data
We recognise that medical teams require all relevant information that is available
for a patient in order to provide best advice and management. Where investigations
are required, these are automatically uploaded as soon as they are available and
incorporated into the patient record. All data entered into the
dabl system is processed in accordance with international guidelines
and best practice and presented so that the medical team can make a speedy and reliable
diagnostic and management decision.
Automatic Interpretation and Best Practice
To achieve the highest level of care for the patient we use the latest research
and best practice guidelines to assist the medical team to share their knowledge
and experience on an international scale for the benefit of the patient. Where possible
the dabl system will interpret the data recorded for
the patient. Apart from dabl modules used for research,
automatic interpretations by dabl are based on evidenced
based research. dabl ABPM is the only system to generate
an automatic interpreted report for a range of 24-hour blood pressure
devices.
Sharing of Data and Knowledge
Our secure online shared systems enable the medical team to quickly and efficiently
have access to all the relevant medical information of the patient, so that successful
outcomes and best management can be achieved. The ability of a patient’s medical
team to quickly and easily share the dabl system and
patient data especially at primary care level, enables the physician identify and
manage low or medium risk patients. This has considerable benefits for patients
who can be managed locally and avoid unnecessary and inconvenient visits to a hospital. High risk patients can be easily managed on a shared care basis.
Where a medical team has access to the full dabl suite
of modules, investigations carried out by one physician are automatically available
to other physicians for an assessment of a different nature.
dabl systems are designed to assist the medical team to easily monitor a
patient’s progress in accordance with best international practice.
Risk & Management Communication
It is recognised that when patients have a clear understanding of their program
for improvement their response to treatment is considerably enhanced.
dabl systems are specifically designed to enable the physician to easily
communicate the level of risk and program of management to a patient.
The system also enables the patient to easily understand their program to improvement.
This feature is acknowledged by medical teams as an important contribution to improving
patient compliance.
Increased Benefits for the Specialist Centre
dabl systems have contributed to significant improvements
in the ability of specialist centres to improve workflow and patient management. Significant cost efficiencies are also achieved.
- Automatic uploading of data.
- Processing or interpreting patient data in accordance with evidenced based research.
- Presentation of patient profile.
- Collection of all data in a standardised format providing a valuable resource for
medical research.
- Ability to perform “virtual consultations” with other clinics and physicians. The
virtual consultation enables physicians to discuss a patients profile by telephone
while both have access to a patient’s record online.
Increased Benefits for the General Clinic
For Primary Care the dabl suite has many outstanding benefits;
- Automatic processing of data and interpretations in accordance with international
best practice and evidenced based research.
- Interactive management system giving an immediate response or interpretation to
data input.
- Enabling Primary and Community Care to easily manage low to medium risk patients,
reserving scarce resources in hospitals for high risk patients. High risk patients can be managed on a shared care basis.
- Enabling Primary Care to perform many investigations previously restricted to the
specialist centre.
Ease of Use
dabl systems are designed with special features for
ease of use. We strive to minimise the time required for training. In many areas
of our system no training is required as use of the system is self-evident, even
to the most inexperienced of users. Due to many of the automatic features in dabl, considerable time is saved and efficiencies gained
for the busy clinic.
